September Information
Dear Parents,
I am so excited to get
our school year started and hope that you are too. Please check the
website for weekly news and updates about what is happening in our
classroom. I am looking forward to working with you and your family.
I appreciate all of your help in making your child's start in school a positive
one,
-
Make sure that
your child gets enough rest each night.
-
Send your child
prepared to school each day
(book bag, folder, any homework done/signed, lunch or lunch money if you
have not pre-purchased tickets, AND snack)
-
Encourage your
child to be independent. Avoid the tendency to do everything for him/her.
-
Encourage your
child to be responsible and to clean up after him/herself.
-
Remind your child
to control the volume of his/her voice inside.
-
Teach your child
to listen to others who are speaking and not to interrupt.
-
Read to your
child. Have your child read to you, even if it is pretend reading.
-
Please make every
effort to have your child get to school on time each day. This is so
important. Each child needs that time to get organized and being late
puts them at a disadvantage for the rest of the day. This is
especially important if your child is buying lunch. We send the lunch
orders down immediately.
-
Check your child's
folders daily. Have your child go through it with you and let them
tell you if there is any homework. Please have your child do it that
day and return it the next.
