St. John the
Baptist School is a Middle State Accredited School. |

All of the
teachers at St. John the Baptist School are certified by the state of Pennsylvania and the
Diocese of Pittsburgh. |

St. John the
Baptist eighth grade students consistently graduate with curriculum area scores which are
two to three grade levels above their level in math, science, social studies, reading, and
English as reported in the results of our national administered standardized tests.

Interactive, on-line PC computer lab is available to all students in
grades kindergarten through eight. In
addition, each student has one computer class per week. The school library is computerized
and is on-line.

co-curricular reading, and English opportunities are available at all levels.

hands-on math and science opportunities at all levels. |

The use of the
latest Texas Instruments graphic calculators is integrated into the math and science
curricula in grades seven and eight. |

classes are available for students in grades seven and eight.

services are provided by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit and the Penn Hills and Plum
Borough School Districts. The following services are available at St. John: math and
reading vans, speech and language therapy, counseling services, testing (academic and

Baptist School also has an excellent Student Assistance Program which is staffed by the
teachers. |

All students in
grades kindergarten through eight have music and physical education. Students in
grades one through six have music twice a week. Students in grades one through eight have
a computer class once a week. |

Baptist School offers after school care for students in grades kindergarten through five.
