What's Happening in the 5th Grade

These are the things we are learning about this school year:

Social Studies: Students are learning about the 13 Original Colonies.  They are learning about what the colonists had to make that we can go to the store and buy.

Science: Students are learning how we can use solar energy in our lives.  They are finishing up Module C by writing about Newton's Laws and body systems.

Math: Students are finishing up the chapter on graphs.  They had to survey this class on various topics and construct a graph with information they collected.

Religion: Students will be discussing the value of love during the month of February.  They will be learning about Lent. and the Stations of the Cross.  Please come and join the school children for Stations of the Cross on Fridays during Lent at 2:10 in the Church.Spring is just around the corner!If you have any questions, please contact me by phone, extension 323 and by email mcclure@stjohnthebaptistschool.org .
