Mrs. Anne Jacobus -
Second Grade
Mrs. Jacobus has taught at St. John the Baptist school
for 25 years. She is a graduate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania where she
earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and she has a minor
in Mathematics. She completed her graduate work at the University of Pittsburgh
and Pennsylvania State University. She is certified to teach grades K-8. She has
earned her Advanced Catechist Certification through the Diocese of Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Jacobus has taught second and third grade during her years at St. John's.
She presently teaches Religion, Math, Spelling, Handwriting, Science, Health and
Social Studies in our second grade.
In addition to her classroom duties Mrs. Jacobus is the Student Assistance
Program Coordinator, the Special Needs Coordinator, sponsor of the C-mite
program through Carnegie Mellon, and faculty liaison to the Lottery Committee.
She serves in the sacramental preparation program for the sacraments of
Reconciliation and the Eucharist.
Mrs. Jacobus is married and lives in New Kensington with her husband Rick and
their two daughters Carrie and Courtney.
