Mrs. Karen Kolenik – Grade 8 Homeroom and Religion, Grades 6-8 Social Studies and Math

Mrs. Kolenik graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Secondary Social Studies Education. She has also received permanent certification from the state of Pennsylvania. Additionally, she also received permanent certification from the state of Pennsylvania while taking 15 Master's Degree credits in secondary math education from Duquesne University.  Before Mrs. Kolenik came to St. John's, she taught at St. Anne's in Castle Shannon and St. Benedict School in Johnstown.   Mrs. Kolenik started teaching at St. John's in 1997 and her activities include middle states steering committee, ski club, chaperone of 8^th grade trip, and the 8th grade Passion Play, and is also coach of the JV and Varsity Volleyball Team. Karen lives in Plum with her husband, Ken, and their two daughters who attend St. John’s.
