Computer, Grades K-8, Typing, CCC and Forensics (Speech), 6-7-8,
Mrs. Schramm graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and a Masters Degree in Information Science. She worked at the Rehabilitation Institute in Squirrel Hill with physically and mentally handicapped children. Mrs. Schramm then went on to work at Digital Equipment Corporation and Compaq Computer Corporation for 17 years. She spent most of her time involved in technical sales and sales support positions which included training and seminars on various technologies for other corporations. Recently, she has entered the School of Education at Duquesne University where she is working on her Master's Degree for teaching certification.
In addition to teaching computer, Karen also maintains the website for St. John's School, TheLink and the computer technology and network equipment. She is a Eucharistic Minister at St. John the Baptist Church. She also coaches the St. John's Chargers Varsity Cheerleaders.
Karen is married to her husband Eric and has 2 children, Scott, 15 who graduated from St. John's and now attends Central Catholic High School and Maggie, 12, who is in 7th grade at St. John the Baptist School.
She looks forward to a seventh exciting year at St. John the Baptist.
